Zones

Subspace is unique in that the gamestyle can vary depending on the zone. Some zones are just free-for-all style gameplay, while others are capture the flag, or even powerball style. Zone descriptions below can give you a zone's game style.

 Alpha West

Head Sysop: Bargeld

If you have never played subspace, start in this zone!

Alpha West is the "newbie zone" this is where you will learn all the tricks of trade. All of the best pilots started out in Alpha Zone. A very user friendly zone, if you have a question, someone in alpha zone will surely give you an answer. You will learn all the basic flying skills here. It used to be mandatory to start in alpha zone, reach a point limit, then you could move on. Altho it is no longer mandatory, it is heavily suggested all beginers start out in alpha zone. Alpha is one of the oldest zones in Subspace and also uses one of the original maps. Alpha is a good zone to learn basic commands, such as joining a squad, creating a squad, using the ?chat function, as well as mastering the basic flying techniques.
